Job Advert Summary
Purpose of the position:
To provide efficient, safe and reliable services of transporting teams in support of community outreach and facility service activities to provide clinical services within the serviced districts as required. Opportunistically mobilizes clients to access HIV and TB services and offer HIV counselling and TB screening services for the targeted population groups including men, adolescent boys and children <19 years. Assist in tracking and tracing of lost to follow ups (LTFU) where possible. Facilitate linkage to care, promote health, and support the district team to improve its outputs. Work within a team to ensure the attainment of the 95-95-95 cascade. The incumbent will be based at the district offices to ease the movement within the district.
Minimum Requirements
Must have grade 12 / standard 10
Tertiary quaification will be an added advantage
Must have a valid driver’s license with PDP Code 10 EB or C1
Must have a Public Drivers Permit (PDP), non negotaible
Advanced driving certificate/course will be an added advantage
HIV Counselling and Testing Certificate
Minimum of 5 years related driving work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must have a Public Drivers Permit (PDP) is required
Ability to communicate in English and isiXhosa will be advantageous
Clear Criminal record

Duties and Responsibilities
Transport teams and equipment to and from different locations.
Works as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Maintains a high standard of professionalism when interacting with clients and health care professionals.
Conducts daily vehicle inspections and reports defects to Office Administrator and Line Manager.
Adheres to all safety precautions and road ordinances
Maintains client confidentiality.
Offer HIV counselling and TB screening services to targeted patient population groups
Conduct quality control and ensure the integrity of the testing kits is maintained at all times
Supports community outreach activities including tracking and tracing of treatment interrupters.
Complies with relevant legislation and organization policies and procedures.
Carries out and/or ensures all maintenance is carried out on all vehicles.
Mobilizes clients during community outreach activities.
Promote and distribute HIVSS kits to eligible clients.
Conduct targeted HTS and TB screening as required.
Reports for duty punctually.
Reports for duty in a presentable manner and/or in the required organisational uniform.
Complies with the SOP for vehicles
