Hyundai Meadowdale is offering an exciting opportunity for graduates to join its structured 12-month Finance Internship Program. This initiative is designed to develop skills within the company and the broader automotive industry. The program aims to contribute to succession planning and transformation goals while providing interns with valuable hands-on experience. Although the internship is comprehensive and offers significant exposure, permanent employment after completion is not guaranteed.
Key Responsibilities
As a finance intern, you will gain exposure to various financial and operational aspects of the automotive industry, including:
• Assisting in cost analysis for vehicle production, including expenses related to materials, labor, and overhead.
• Supporting inventory management by monitoring stock levels of parts, supplies, and finished vehicles.
• Conducting efficiency assessments and analyzing cost variances to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Assisting in financial modeling for pricing strategies, promotions, and discount evaluations.
• Analyzing the profitability of different vehicle models and trim levels.
• Conducting market research to evaluate pricing trends and demand factors.
• Supporting the finance team in tracking sales performance, dealer incentives, and revenue recognition.
• Assisting with revenue forecasting based on sales trends, seasonal demand, and new model launches.
• Preparing financial reports on sales revenue, dealer commissions, and company performance.
• Analyzing customer financing programs, including lease options, interest rates, and incentive structures.
• Supporting the accounts payable department by processing payments to vendors and suppliers.
• Assisting with supplier relationship management, ensuring timely invoice reconciliation and payment processing.
Qualifications & Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:
• Completed tertiary qualification (Degree or Diploma) from a recognized institution.
• Minimum academic average of 60%.
• Strong computer skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proactive attitude with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills & Competencies
• Financial Analysis: Ability to interpret data, conduct variance assessments, and analyze profitability.
• Financial Modeling: Experience using Excel or similar tools for pricing and forecasting.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Understanding financial planning, sales projections, and cost management.
