In this position, youโ€™ll support and maintain the ICT infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, assist with critical projects, and provide outstanding service to end-users. Whether working onsite or remotely, your expertise will keep systems functional and secure for our staff and stakeholders.


1. Delivering Exceptional Customer Service
โ€ข Serve as a responsive, reliable point of contact for ICT-related support requests.

โ€ข Provide in-person and remote support with professionalism and a service-first attitude.

โ€ข Adhere to service level agreements (SLAs) and internal support policies.

โ€ข Guide users in navigating application features and tools efficiently.

2. Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution
โ€ข Resolve hardware, software, and infrastructure issues with practical, lasting solutions.

โ€ข Ensure consistent and effective problem resolution aligned with best practices.

โ€ข Support the installation and configuration of devices and ICT equipment.

โ€ข Travel to various SANBS regions when required for onsite issue resolution or project support.

3. Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Support
โ€ข Assist in executing business continuity and disaster recovery procedures.

โ€ข Participate in regular data backup processes and system checks.

โ€ข Support the Network Engineer and Analyst with testing and readiness exercises.

4. Contributing to Key ICT Projects
โ€ข Take part in SANBS technology initiatives and projects.

โ€ข Meet assigned project timelines and communicate progress with clarity.

โ€ข Follow SANBS project methodologies and contribute to successful project delivery.

5. Enhancing and Optimizing Infrastructure
โ€ข Offer insight and alternatives for IT infrastructure procurement.

โ€ข Contribute to continuous improvement by implementing and adhering to ICT policies.

โ€ข Recommend best-fit solutions that align with SANBS operational needs.

6. Managing Network Access and Security
โ€ข Maintain user accounts on Active Directory based on new user requests and staff exits.

โ€ข Monitor access rights and ensure appropriate usage of network resources.

โ€ข Support policy enforcement around access control and network security.

7. Providing Technical and Network Support
โ€ข Deliver first-level support for network connectivity and server issues.

โ€ข Address WAN-related concerns, including patching and tracing network points.

โ€ข Ensure all users have secure, reliable access to the systems they need.

Qualifications:

โ€ข Grade 12 (Matric)

โ€ข At least two certifications from:

โ€ข CompTIA A+

โ€ข CompTIA Network+

โ€ข MCSE / MCSA / MCP

โ€ข Or an IT-related diploma or degree

Experience:

โ€ข Minimum of 1 year in an ICT support role (e.g., Support Technician, Junior Network Engineer)

โ€ข Familiarity with Active Directory and system administration

โ€ข Exposure to hardware and software troubleshooting

Other Requirements:


โ€ข Valid driverโ€™s license (regional travel may be required)

โ€ข Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset

โ€ข Attention to detail, ethical conduct, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
