• At least 1 to 2 years’ experience in general work, maintenance, or a related field
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour

Your Daily Responsibilities

This position is ideal for those who enjoy practical tasks and working outdoors or indoors, depending on the need. General Assistants are essential in keeping our campuses clean, functional, and ready for students, staff, and visitors.
You’ll be expected to assist with a wide range of tasks including:
Maintenance and Cleaning Duties:
• Support the foreman with general upkeep and minor maintenance tasks
• Sweep, clean, and maintain grounds, gardens, parking areas, walkways, and courtyards
• Dust, mop, and wax furniture and surfaces
• Wash windows, scrub floors, and vacuum carpets
• Maintain clean walls, restrooms, and kitchen areas
• Shampoo carpets when required
• Dispose of waste and keep bins/surrounding areas clean
• Refresh office and common areas regularly
Utility and Support Functions:
• Assist in handling deliveries, moving furniture, or setting up venues
• Count, sort, and pack stock in storerooms
• Clean and store tools and materials
• Help with general errands and logistics on campus
• Use cleaning machines and report issues as they arise
• Ensure cleaning materials are stored correctly and used responsibly
You may be asked to perform other duties as reasonably assigned by the Campus Manager, Admin Supervisor, or Foreman. Flexibility is key—you may need to work after hours or on weekends when required.
