- Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Additional education or certification in medical/dental office administration or related field is preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience working in a dental or medical office setting is preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in using office equipment such as computers, printers, and multi-line phone systems.
- Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with dental practice management software for scheduling, billing, and record-keeping.
- Administrative Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage patient records, appointments, and billing processes accurately and efficiently.
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and insurance providers.
- Interpersonal Skills:
- Friendly and professional demeanor with a customer service orientation.
- Empathy and patience in dealing with patients’ concerns and inquiries.
- Problem-Solving Abilities:
- Resourcefulness in finding solutions to patient issues and administrative challenges.
