Your Role: What You’ll Be Doing

As a Handyman at FNB, your core responsibility will be ensuring that our facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming for both employees and clients. Here’s a look at what your typical day might include:
• General Maintenance & Repairs: Handle day-to-day upkeep and repairs, including carpentry, drywall patching, minor plumbing, and hardware fixes.
• Routine Maintenance Tasks: Conduct regular building inspections, perform touch-ups, repainting, and equipment upkeep to keep our environment pristine.
• Installation Work: Assemble or repair cabinetry, shelves, counters, and other fixtures to ensure optimal use of office space.
• Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve maintenance issues—using your sharp judgment and hands-on skills.
• Tech-Friendly: Use MS Office and digital tools to log maintenance tasks and communicate updates.
• Safety First: Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and FNB’s internal policies.
• Team Communication: Work closely with management and colleagues to coordinate maintenance needs and resolve issues efficiently.
What You Need to Join Us

• Minimum Qualification: Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
• A Handyman Certification or Trade Qualification is a plus.
• At least 2 years’ experience in general building maintenance, preferably in a corporate or commercial setting.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Solid communication skills and a commitment to professionalism.
