Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities
• To produce detonating cord of different sizes through different stations from C1 to C6. • Take powder charge according to cord specification using the correct formula • Set up the machines according to the product needed using the correct tooling. • Recording of log sheets and production tags for traceability • Take out samples from each spool for quality check • General house keeping • Quality inspection, packing, labelling of final product. Record production quantities • To do a proper start-up before the beginning of the shift and a proper shut-down at the end of the week or when required • Have a full understanding of Epex methodology. • Be able to work under pressure • Be able to work full shifts and overtime • Conscientious and diligent • Detail oriented • Maintain a high standard of integrity • Fosters teamwork and collaboration • Able to work on your own with little supervision
Formal Education
Grade 12
Maths and Science as subjects will be an advantage
Min Experience
6+ months experience in Explosives manufacturing
Cord Plant experience will be an advantage
