As a key part of our frontline team, your role will focus on helping clients confidently navigate both traditional and digital banking channels. You’ll be the face of Nedbank—welcoming, assisting, and guiding people through services that simplify their financial lives.
Client Support & Relationship Building:
• Welcome clients warmly and understand their needs by asking the right questions.
• Offer hands-on support with online tools and mobile apps—helping clients log in, sign up, and make the most of digital features.
• Show clients how to use self-service stations to print statements, collect cards, buy airtime, or make other day-to-day transactions.
• Actively build lasting client relationships by keeping them updated on their queries and requests.
• Recognize opportunities to offer additional services that meet a client’s needs—without pressuring or hard selling.
• Create a trusted, client-focused environment that makes people feel heard and valued.
Daily Operations:
• Handle in-branch cash transactions—deposits, withdrawals, change requests—with precision and professionalism.
• Manage cash holdings, balance ATMs, and ensure all self-service devices are functional and well-stocked.
• Troubleshoot minor device issues and escalate complex ones when needed to minimize downtime.
• Work through daily checklists and controls to keep things running smoothly and securely.
• Support foreign exchange transactions and ensure proper documentation and compliance at every step.
Risk Awareness & Compliance:
• Follow strict internal policies and security procedures to protect both clients and the business.
• Be alert to potential fraud and errors, taking prompt action where necessary.
• Adhere to banking regulations and ethical standards, maintaining full transparency in every transaction.

What You’ll Need

Education:
• Minimum: Diploma (NQF Level 6)
• Preferred: Higher Certificate in Banking Services (NQF Level 5 or above)
Experience:
• 1–2 years in a customer service or retail banking environment.
• Familiarity with cash handling, client engagement, and first-line device maintenance.
• Experience with digital banking services and foreign exchange is an advantage.
