• Driving: Transporting students and staff members for academic purposes.
• Pre-Trip vehicle inspection
• Report accidents to Transport Officer
• Quality Client Service: Client Orientation
• Ensure Good Communication to the passengers
• Ensure Safe Driving
• Reporting all defects e.g. breakage, maintenance and incidents.
• Adherence to the Road Traffic rules and regulations
2. Minimum Requirements:
2.1 Academic Qualifications
• Basic Literacy (ABET)/Grade 09
2.2 Experience (minimum)
• Two (2) years` relevant experience
3. Professional registration
• Drivers Licence code EC. (code 14) Plus PDp (Public Driving permit)
4. Knowledge and Skills
• Current road and traffic rules and regulations (NB: Public driving requirements)
• Basic vehicle inspection and maintenance
• Customer care
• Good communication
• Basic mechanical knowledge to do “minor on-the-spot-break-down”

NB: INSTRUCTIONS: ALL DRIVERS WILL UNDERGO A DRIVING SKILLS TEST TO CHECK THE ELIGIBIBILTY AND FITNESS FOR DRIVING UNIVERSITY BUSES. Applicants are required to submit together with the CVs, a standardized TUT job application form available from the university intranet as well as recently certified copies of qualifications and Identity Document. Failure to comply with this instruction will disqualify the candidate. If we have not responded within a month from the closing date, you should regard your application as unsuccessful.
