We are seeking a Virtual Medical Receptionist to join our eyecare practice. Previous experience in the eyecare industry isnโt required. Fluency in English and Korean is essential. As the front-line representative, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the patient experience and satisfaction. Your primary objective will be to ensure patient comfort and provide them with accurate information. As a Virtual Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for various receptionist and clerical duties within our optical practice.
Job duties and responsibilitiesย
- Professionally handle all incoming calls, schedule appointments, and appropriately redirect or take messages.
- Provide prompt and comprehensive responses to customer inquiries and address any complaints effectively.
- Gather necessary information from patients and medical insurance providers.
- Verify medical insurance benefits and efficiently submit insurance claims.
- Manage outgoing mail and perform administrative tasks such as checking, sorting, and forwarding emails.
- Place orders for supplies as required.
- Maintain accurate and updated records and files.
- Provide general administrative support to the practice.

Job requirements and qualifications
- Experience working in the eyecare industry
- Fluency in both English and Korean
- Preferred experience and knowledge in medical insurance verification and claim submission
- Proficiency in common online systems like G Suite and MS Office (especially Excel and Word)
- High School diploma
- Additional qualifications will be a plus
