Requirements:

Educational Qualification: Grade 12 Certificate (Matric).

Advantage: Completion of a short computer course.

The Eastern Cape Department of Education offers a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme for students, providing them with practical experience and the necessary skills for their chosen field of study. The programme lasts from 3 to 18 months, depending on the student’s needs, and helps them meet the requirements for completing their qualifications from a recognized public institution.

Successful candidates will be placed in one of the departmentโ€™s 12 district offices or the Head Office. The programme targets students needing workplace experience to qualify for degrees or diplomas in specific disciplines.

Important Notes:

– The Department may choose not to proceed with interviews or appointments if no suitable candidates are found.

– Canvassing management or employees will lead to disqualification.

– Successful applicants must sign an internship contract and performance agreement.

– Applicants who have previously participated in this programme will not be eligible.
