Salary Range: R260,244 – R356,928 per annum (basic salary, excluding benefits)

Minimum Requirements to Apply:
Administrative Assistant
• A Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or a relevant equivalent qualification at NQF Level 4
• 2 to 5 years of experience in a payroll or financial administration environment
• Strong understanding of administrative processes, especially in record management and document control
• Proficiency in standard office software and experience with filing systems, both physical and digital
What You’ll Be Doing:
Administrative Assistant
As an Administrative Assistant in the Payroll Filing team, your responsibilities will include:
• Delivering efficient administrative and clerical support to ensure payroll documents are correctly filed, archived, and accessible as needed
• Maintaining and improving municipal systems and procedures for accurate and secure record keeping within the salary administration office
• Creating, managing, and updating employee payroll files while ensuring all required documentation is up-to-date and stored in compliance with regulations
• Preparing salary administration documents for processing, filing, and auditing
• Collaborating with payroll administrators and supporting them in their daily duties, including frontline counter services and employee interactions
• Responding to employee inquiries and resolving payroll-related queries with professionalism and excellent customer service
• Upholding municipal policies related to data security, privacy, and safe document handling
