Role Overview
General Worker Jobs
As an Operator, you will be entrusted with the safe, effective operation of key brewing and utility processes such as wort cooling, yeast management, filtration, and packaging. You will also play a critical role in executing quality control checks, basic maintenance tasks, and actively participating in team development through training and problem-solving. Your contribution will directly impact the quality and consistency of our final product—something we take enormous pride in.
What You’ll Be Doing
General Worker Jobs
Operational Excellence:
• Operate and monitor plant equipment across various brewing stages including the brewhouse, fermentation, filtration, and packaging (bottling and kegging).
• Execute housekeeping responsibilities while maintaining a clean and organized workspace in line with 5S and safety practices.
• Identify and rectify unsafe work practices promptly to uphold a safe working environment.
Quality Assurance:
• Conduct routine quality checks and analyses as per operational standards.
• Accurately log data into digital systems and escalate quality deviations using appropriate problem-solving tools like “Quick Fix Routines.”
• Collaborate with shift managers and the brewing team to maintain top-tier product standards.
Team Communication & Handover:
• Actively engage in daily team meetings and performance reviews.
• Use tools like shift logbooks and gap lists to document challenges, updates, and improvement ideas.
• Ensure seamless transitions between shifts by providing detailed handover notes.
Maintenance & Problem Solving:
• Carry out basic maintenance and support Autonomous Maintenance (AM) tasks.
• Quickly respond to abnormal process variations and work with the team to resolve root causes.
• Apply structured problem-solving techniques such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Analysis, and others to ensure equipment and process reliability.
Collaboration & Development:
• Support and train fellow team members to build collective expertise.
• Demonstrate accountability, energy, and a proactive mindset in improving team performance.

Minimum Requirements:
• Matric / Grade 12 (essential)
• Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, SAP exposure beneficial)
• Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends or outside of regular hours as needed
