Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Call Centre Agent to join our Customer Acquisition team. This role involves processing credit vetting applications, activations, and ownership transfers as per the designated workflow and queue management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
โข Conduct thorough and accurate assessments of manually escalated credit vetting requests, adhering to company policies and guidelines.
โข Process customer credit applications efficiently to enhance market share while ensuring minimal risk of bad debt.
โข Verify, confirm, and validate customer details and contractual information before activating post-paid services on Vodacomโs billing platform.
โข Execute customer and subscriber GSM and non-GSM activation requests promptly and accurately.
โข Facilitate the smooth transfer of ownership for subscriber services within Vodacomโs billing system.
โข Provide telephonic assistance to Trade Partners and customers regarding customer acquisition processes and IT system-related queries.
โข Address and resolve credit vetting, activation failures, and transfer of ownership concerns by following proper escalation procedures.
โข Offer clear and comprehensive explanations to Trade Partners and customers regarding the status and outcome of their requests.
โข Ensure high levels of customer service by maintaining professionalism, product knowledge, and adherence to service level agreements.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
Experience & Qualifications:
โข Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, including:
โข At least 1 year in a call centre environment, specifically within credit vetting โ essential.
โข Prior experience in credit vetting โ mandatory.
โข Matric/Grade 12 qualification โ required.
โข A diploma in credit-related fields โ advantageous.
Knowledge Requirements:
โข In-depth understanding of credit vetting and decision-making processes.
โข Proficiency in customer verification, validation, and confirmation procedures.
โข Hands-on experience in customer creation and subscriber activation processes.
โข Familiarity with transfer of ownership procedures.
โข Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and data capturing.
โข Exposure to call centre operations.
โข Experience with Vodacomโs billing system โ preferred but not mandatory.
