What You’ll Be Doing:
Shop Assistants / Cashiers
As a Shop Assistant / Cashier at Clicks, your role is crucial in creating a seamless, friendly shopping environment for our customers. You’ll be the face of the store—engaging with shoppers, ensuring fast and accurate checkouts, and supporting the in-store team with merchandising and housekeeping.
Key Responsibilities:
Shop Assistants / Cashiers
• Operate the point-of-sale system efficiently and accurately.
• Handle cash and card payments securely and responsibly.
• Promote and enroll customers into our Clicks ClubCard loyalty program.
• Highlight ongoing promotions to drive sales and improve customer satisfaction.
• Deliver exceptional service with a smile—every time.
• Maintain cleanliness and merchandising standards across all areas of the store.
• Stay informed about product ranges, deals, and store campaigns to assist customers knowledgeably.
• Support the company’s vision to be South Africa’s preferred health and beauty retailer by embodying our core values.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience & Education:
• Essential: Matric / Grade 12 certificate.
• Preferred: At least 50% in Maths and English at Matric level.
• Advantageous: Previous experience in retail, especially in customer-facing roles or point-of-sale operations.
Knowledge & Skills:
• Solid understanding of retail principles, merchandising, and stock handling.
• Familiarity with basic maths and ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Computer literacy is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in helping others.
Soft Skills:
• Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions.
• Energetic, friendly, and approachable demeanor.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic retail environment.
• Capable of handling pressure and multitasking in a fast-paced setting.
