Wits Health Consortium (WHC) is a renowned organization dedicated to advancing health research and providing innovative healthcare solutions. We are currently seeking a highly organized and proactive Administrator to join the Isango Lethemba TB Research Unit. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, efficient, and eager to contribute to meaningful research in the healthcare sector.
Job Purpose:
The Administrator will provide essential administrative and clerical support to ensure the smooth operation of the research unit. The ideal candidate will handle day-to-day office tasks, maintain financial records, and assist with participant reimbursements while ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform general administrative tasks, including printing, copying, and binding documents.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
• Understand and adhere to all relevant SOPs and internal process flows.
• Assist in processing participant reimbursements via cash or e-wallet transactions.
• Manage petty cash requisitions, including collection, distribution, and reconciliation of funds.
• Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and properly authorized.
• Provide logistical support for meetings, workshops, and research-related activities.
• Handle incoming correspondence and direct inquiries appropriately.
• Maintain accurate records, files, and databases to support research activities.
• Work closely with research staff to support operational needs.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Matric certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Previous administrative experience, preferably in a research or healthcare environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Attention to detail and the ability to handle financial transactions responsibly.
