Old Mutual is seeking motivated and talented individuals to join its Amathuba Learnership Programme in 2025. This learnership provides an excellent opportunity for learners to obtain the Wealth Management NQF Level 4 qualification while gaining practical work experience in the financial services industry. The qualification is fully accredited and recognized by the Financial Services Provider (FSP), offering a strong foundation for career growth in areas such as underwriting, financial investment advising, and insurance brokerage.


What to Expect from the Programme

โ€ข A 12-month structured learning experience combining workplace exposure and classroom training.

โ€ข Guidance from experienced mentors to help learners navigate their roles and responsibilities.

โ€ข The chance to participate in Corporate Social Investment (CSI) initiatives and contribute to meaningful projects.

โ€ข Hands-on learning about financial products, relevant legislation, and ethical business practices.

โ€ข The requirement to complete a logbook to track learning progress throughout the programme.

Eligibility Criteria

Learnerships in South Africa


To qualify, applicants must:
โœ”๏ธ Be South African citizens aged between 18 and 30.
โœ”๏ธ Be currently unemployed and not enrolled in any educational programme.
โœ”๏ธ Have never participated in a Wealth Management NQF Level 4 learnership before.
โœ”๏ธ Hold a Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
โœ”๏ธ Have achieved a minimum of:
โ€ข 50% in English

โ€ข 50% in an official second language

โ€ข 50% in Pure Mathematics OR 50% in Mathematical Literacy
โœ”๏ธ Be available to start the learnership in May 2025.

โ€ข Disability status (Yes/No)

โ€ข Any qualifications (completed or in progress)

โ€ข Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete online assessments.

โ€ข Based on assessment results, selected applicants will be asked to submit a video interview for review.

โ€ข A final shortlist will proceed to a face-to-face interview with hiring managers.

โ€ข Successful candidates will receive offer letters by the end of April 2025.

As part of the programme, learners will:
Analyze client issues and conduct initial research to support effective solutions.
Provide customer service support, including handling queries and case management.
Participate in knowledge-sharing activities to enhance expertise in the field.
Respond to customer inquiries regarding financial products and services.
Perform basic data entry and verification tasks.
Assist in content development and best-practice sharing within the organization.
Engage in personal development through training and mentorship.
Maintain operational compliance by following company protocols and industry standards.
Support business improvement initiatives by adapting to workplace changes.
