• Follow daily schedules closely to meet set targets, working according to the defined plan.

• Uphold Nedbank’s core values — honesty, integrity, accountability, respect, and a commitment to excellence — in every client interaction and engagement with colleagues.

• Escalate unresolved customer issues by accurately logging cases in the system for management attention.

• Ensure at least 90% of incoming calls are answered within 60 seconds to meet service level expectations.

• Consistently meet monthly lead generation goals by identifying and promoting suitable banking products to clients.

• Stay alert to prevent any potential risks or losses by diligently capturing call details and following procedures.

• Contribute to building a positive and inclusive work culture by participating in internal initiatives like staff surveys.

• Support Nedbank’s social responsibility goals by getting involved in relevant community projects.

• Proactively identify areas for improvement in processes, systems, and policies, and assist with implementing these enhancements.

• Keep informed about legislative and industry developments by reviewing newsletters, attending relevant sessions, and staying engaged with updates.

• Maintain compliance with evolving risk and governance standards by regularly reviewing and accepting updated guidelines.

• Embrace the organisation’s vision and embody its values in all interactions with colleagues and stakeholders.

• Pursue ongoing personal development by seeking out relevant training, learning opportunities, and career advancement options.

• Share knowledge with the team to ensure accurate and consistent information is provided across all channels.

• Accurately understand client queries by summarising and confirming key concerns raised during calls.

• Provide regular updates to management and ensure all stakeholders are kept informed with timely and relevant feedback.

Minimum Educational Requirements

Nedbank Jobs


• Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate

Preferred Education
• Certificate in Call Centre Operations (advantageous)

Experience Needed
• Between 6 to 12 months of experience working in a call centre environment

• Additional post-matric qualifications are a plus

Required Knowledge and Skills


• Familiarity with administrative processes and systems

• Understanding of banking systems and procedures

• Awareness of regulatory requirements

• Effective business writing abilities

• Strong grasp of governance, risk management, and controls

• Proficiency with relevant software and tools

• Solid understanding of business concepts and terminology
