About the Role

Cleaners & Messengers X26

As a Cleaner and Messenger, your responsibilities will focus on maintaining hygiene in clinical and office environments while also supporting internal logistics. This dual-role offers variety in your day-to-day duties and plays an essential part in the smooth running of our laboratories and hospital support services.

This is a part-time position (5/8 post) ideal for individuals who are flexible and committed to working in a fast-paced, service-focused environment.

What You’ll Do

Cleaners & Messengers X26

Your day will involve a mix of housekeeping and logistical support. Duties include:
• Daily cleaning of workspaces, meeting rooms, kitchens, hallways, and staircases to uphold sanitation and infection control standards.

• Vacuuming carpets, dusting and polishing surfaces, and mopping floors to maintain a fresh and hygienic setting.

• Washing dishes, cleaning refrigerators, and keeping kitchen areas stocked and tidy.

• Cleaning restrooms, including toilets, basins, and showers, and restocking soap, toilet paper, and towels regularly.

• Handling waste management, including collection, sorting, and safe disposal of regular and biohazardous materials.

• Preparing venues by arranging furniture and equipment for staff meetings or events.

• Providing messenger services, such as collecting and delivering lab specimens, internal mail, and reports across departments and hospital wards.

• Reporting maintenance or supply issues promptly to your supervisor to ensure operational continuity.

We’re looking for individuals who are not only hard-working but also have a strong sense of responsibility and care about contributing to a clean, safe healthcare environment.

Minimum Requirements:

Cleaners & Messengers X26

• A Grade 10 certificate or equivalent qualification

• 1–2 months of relevant on-the-job training or experience

• Exposure to hospital or laboratory environments is an advantage

• Physical ability to perform duties such as lifting, bending, and using cleaning equipment

• Attention to detail and good time management

• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors
