Job Purpose
Employment Opportunities
As a General Worker, you’ll play a hands-on role in assisting the Rail Network Construction (RNC) team. Your contributions will support essential railway construction and maintenance operations carried out by the Civil Engineering Works (CEW) unit.
You’ll work closely with your supervisor and team members to ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum Requirements:
• A minimum of Grade 9 school education.
• Physically and medically fit for outdoor and manual labor.
• Basic knowledge of construction tools, materials, and safety practices.
• Ability to clearly communicate and follow instructions.
• Good understanding of tool and material usage for specific tasks.
Key Responsibilities
• Handling, loading, and unloading construction materials.
• Performing trench excavation and assisting with installation of services in trenches.
• Backfilling trenches after installation.
• Supporting construction and maintenance tasks as directed by supervisors.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.

Working Conditions
• Work is conducted primarily outdoors or in operational environments.
