Minimum Requirements:

• Qualifications: NQF Level 1 or 2 / ABET / AET Level 2 certificate or equivalent recognized by SAQA.

• Experience: No prior work experience required.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.

• Ability to present and serve food professionally.

• Knife handling skills and basic kitchen operations knowledge.

• Familiarity with menu planning and order-taking systems.

• Beverage preparation and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen utensils and equipment.

• Assist in food preparation and catering services.

• Ensure hygiene and safety protocols are followed.

• Keep track of kitchen inventory and report shortages.

• Dispose of waste properly and maintain a clean workspace.

• Prepare and serve meals, snacks, and beverages (tea, coffee, cold drinks, etc.).

• Set up dining areas with necessary cutlery, crockery, and equipment.
