The Department of Education is inviting applications for the position of SCM Clerk: Asset and Stores Management within the OR Tambo Coastal Education District.

• Salary: R216 417 – R242 928 per annum (Level 05)
• Location: OR Tambo Coastal

Minimum Requirements

• A Grade 12 certificate (No prior experience required).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in English.
• Sound understanding of Public Service legislative guidelines.
• Fundamental knowledge of office administration procedures.
• Familiarity with procurement systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the execution of asset and disposal policies.
• Manage the procurement and utilization of movable assets.
• Maintain and update the district’s asset register.
• Ensure proper internal transfer processes of assets.
• Implement measures for loss and damage prevention.
• Administer inventory control and disposal management.
• Supervise district stores and inventory management.
