Job Overview
Mediclinic is looking for a skilled Technical Assistant to maintain hospital equipment and infrastructure, ensuring all assets remain in their best condition.
Key Responsibilities
• Execute technical maintenance and repair tasks within the hospital.
• Identify and mitigate risks in the technical environment.
• Supervise and coordinate tasks performed by on-site contractors.
• Manage administrative duties within the Technical Department.
• Foster positive stakeholder relationships and ensure excellent client service.
Qualifications Required
Essential:
• Grade 10 or equivalent vocational qualification.
Preferred:
• Grade 12 certificate.
• Valid Code B driver’s license.
• Basic Technical Assistant Training (Mediclinic or equivalent technical course).
Experience Required
Essential:
• 3 to 5 years of general building maintenance experience.
Preferred:
• At least 1 year of experience in general building maintenance.
Skills & Knowledge Required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong problem-solving skills in fault finding and analysis.
• Experience in report writing.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Comprehensive understanding of general building maintenance.
• Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
