The City of Tshwane is seeking qualified and customer-focused individuals to fill eight (8) Call Centre Agent vacancies within its Customer Centre Operations. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong communication skills and a passion for providing excellent customer service. Successful candidates will be responsible for handling customer inquiries, complaints, and service requests through various communication channels, including face-to-face interactions, telephone calls, and emails.


Minimum Requirements


To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
โ€ข Education: A Matric (Grade 12) qualification is required.
โ€ข Experience: At least two (2) years of relevant experience in customer service and call centre operations is essential.
โ€ข Knowledge & Skills:
โ€ข Strong familiarity with the City of Tshwaneโ€™s operations, billing processes, and Batho Pele principles.
โ€ข Must be willing to undergo a criminal background check, including fingerprint verification by the Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) at the candidateโ€™s own cost.


โ€ข Computer literacy is a must, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
โ€ข Additional knowledge of SAP CIC (Customer Interaction Centre) and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems will be considered an advantage.
โ€ข Flexibility: Candidates must be willing to work at various customer service centres, including both walk-in centres and call centres, based on operational requirements.


Key Responsibilities


Successful candidates will be responsible for the following:
โ€ข Customer Interaction & Support:
โ€ข Assist customers with inquiries, complaints, and service requests through different communication channels (in-person, telephone, and email).
โ€ข Identify and analyze customer needs and provide efficient solutions.
โ€ข Ensure high-quality customer service by maintaining professionalism and a helpful attitude.
โ€ข Case Management & Resolution:
โ€ข Accurately capture and document customer requests in the system.


โ€ข Retrieve customer details and update information as required.
โ€ข Investigate and resolve customer issues related to billing, service interruptions, and municipal services.
โ€ข Follow up on unresolved queries to ensure customer satisfaction.
โ€ข Relationship Management & Performance Standards:
โ€ข Build and maintain positive relationships with both customers and colleagues.
โ€ข Adhere to performance targets and quality standards set by the organisation.
โ€ข Participate in service improvement initiatives and contribute to corrective actions when necessary.
