The City of Tshwane is seeking qualified and customer-focused individuals to fill eight (8) Call Centre Agent vacancies within its Customer Centre Operations. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong communication skills and a passion for providing excellent customer service. Successful candidates will be responsible for handling customer inquiries, complaints, and service requests through various communication channels, including face-to-face interactions, telephone calls, and emails.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
โข Education: A Matric (Grade 12) qualification is required.
โข Experience: At least two (2) years of relevant experience in customer service and call centre operations is essential.
โข Knowledge & Skills:
โข Strong familiarity with the City of Tshwaneโs operations, billing processes, and Batho Pele principles.
โข Must be willing to undergo a criminal background check, including fingerprint verification by the Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) at the candidateโs own cost.
โข Computer literacy is a must, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
โข Additional knowledge of SAP CIC (Customer Interaction Centre) and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems will be considered an advantage.
โข Flexibility: Candidates must be willing to work at various customer service centres, including both walk-in centres and call centres, based on operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for the following:
โข Customer Interaction & Support:
โข Assist customers with inquiries, complaints, and service requests through different communication channels (in-person, telephone, and email).
โข Identify and analyze customer needs and provide efficient solutions.
โข Ensure high-quality customer service by maintaining professionalism and a helpful attitude.
โข Case Management & Resolution:
โข Accurately capture and document customer requests in the system.
โข Retrieve customer details and update information as required.
โข Investigate and resolve customer issues related to billing, service interruptions, and municipal services.
โข Follow up on unresolved queries to ensure customer satisfaction.
โข Relationship Management & Performance Standards:
โข Build and maintain positive relationships with both customers and colleagues.
โข Adhere to performance targets and quality standards set by the organisation.
โข Participate in service improvement initiatives and contribute to corrective actions when necessary.
